It refers only to the ability "[Activate: Main] Place one [Naraku's Faction] affinity or <Shikon Jewel Shard> card from your sideline face down under a <Naraku> on your field." It does not refer to other abilities on the same card.

No, it does not. Placing the event card into the sideline after using it does not satisfy "When this card is placed from your hand into your sideline by one of your abilities." This ability activates when the card is placed from your hand into your sideline by another card's ability.
