No, it does not.

What does the "cannot be chosen by abilities" part of "cannot be chosen by your opponent's trigger abilities" mean?

It means the card cannot be chosen by abilities like "Choose one character on your opponent's front line and sideline it" which include the instruction to "choose" a card.
