What does "the next card with 2 AP cost you use from your hand this turn" refer to?

It refers to the first card with 2 AP cost played from your hand this turn after the [When Played] ability on this card is activated.
The AP cost of that first card with 2 AP cost will still be reduced by 1 even if you played a card with 1 AP cost before it.
