If I performed the "Look at the top six cards of your deck. Reveal up to one character or site card among them and add it to your hand. Place the remaining cards on the bottom of your deck in any order" part of this [When Played] ability but didn't add a card to my hand, do I still have to place one base card of this Raided character into my sideline?
Yes, you still have to place one base card of this Raided character into your sideline even if you didn't add a card to your hand.
